By George

By George is a 105-minute action comedy (PG-13), feature presentation based on an original screenplay written by Miles O’Hare, that includes mistaken identity and a romp through one night during the tumultuous American Revolution and Major General Benedict Arnold’s court martial in New Jersey. The plot line is based on the character George Washburn, who is a modern-day, down-on-his-luck protagonist that gets accidentally transported back to December 31, 1779, with the help of a time-bending phenomenon caused by Comet 241, while on a museum tour of one of General George Washington’s winter encampment headquarters. The multi-ethnic cast of characters must confront an imposter who they all believe is the true leader of the time. The fictional film is loosely based on historical events in this coming attraction.

Commonwealth Productions and Lovely Day Productions

Our production team of co-creators first met and worked together on a short film in 2014. Together, the inception of two corporations, Commonwealth Productions and Lovely Day Productions was inspired. As luck would have it, we were all available this past year to collaborate on By George with Paul-Emile Cendron making his debut as a feature film Director and Eric Stumpf and Marcus Goldbas as Directors of Photography. One of our commitments to the film industry is based on the philosophy that there’s nothing like seeing the rise of lifelong professional artists and technicians working together. The joint venture between our two corporations helped launch our creative expression and we welcome diversity, opportunity, and inclusion. We hope you enjoy the fruits of our labor!
